Search Mukilteo Voter Registration
VoteWA is the official starting point for a registered Mukilteo voter checking an individual record. Enter the same first and last names used on the registration, then supply the full birth date. Choose Sign in. The portal can then support registration confirmation or updates, personalized precinct and ballot-guide information, and ballot-status checks. A person who is not registered does not automatically have portal access.

If the details do not match, VoteWA directs the registered voter to the county Elections Office. More than one match can produce a Select an address prompt. English and Spanish controls are available, along with a separate Register to Vote link. No authenticated profile should be inferred from the public sign-in screen. The full date of birth serves as a personal verification field, not as a public search field.

VoteWA Is No Public Directory
VoteWA answers a voter's own questions. It does not let a visitor browse Mukilteo voter records by surname alone or sweep through a neighborhood. That is an important line. The portal accepts a full date of birth because the user is trying to reach a personal registration. Public disclosure, by contrast, is limited to an automated extract whose contents and uses are set by election law.
This distinction also prevents a common mistake. A failed VoteWA sign-in does not prove that a person is unregistered. The spelling may differ from the registration, the birth date may be mistyped, or the record may need county review. The right response is to contact elections staff, not to guess at more personal data.
Self-lookup is not public browsing. Use VoteWA only for the voter's own registration and ballot services; request lawful public fields through the official extract process.
Mukilteo Voter Records by Field
RCW 29A.08.710 makes the original voter-registration form confidential. It then names the limited fields that may be released from the automated registration file. A Mukilteo voter record can show civic geography and participation history, but it cannot reveal how the voter marked a ballot. Washington also does not register voters by party preference.

The public list therefore supports election administration and civic research without opening the full application. Participation means only that a voting event is credited to the record. It does not show a vote choice. Nor does a precinct or district identify a political preference. Those limits matter when interpreting Mukilteo voter rolls.
Confidential under Washington law. Full birth dates, Social Security number fragments, driver's-license or state-ID data, signatures, phone and email data, registration-agency details, and protected-voter addresses are withheld under RCW 29A.08.710, RCW 29A.08.720, and chapter 40.24 RCW.
Request Washington Voter Roll Data
The Washington Voter Registration Database Extract contains active registered voters, current and prior-year voting history, and precinct or district data. The file is refreshed at the start of each month, usually by the end of the first business day. Delivery is a delimited CSV file through an emailed download link. A CSV is a text data file with values separated into columns, and this one may be large enough to require database software.
- Enter the requester's first and last name, email, phone, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. Use a valid email because the download link arrives there.
- Select the requested data file and county scope. Mukilteo records fall within Snohomish County, although a statewide file may also be requested where the form permits.
- Submit the request to the Secretary of State. The published page says fulfillment can take up to five business days, though it is usually immediate.
- Open the delivered CSV with software able to handle its size and keep every restricted-use term attached to the data.
No fee is stated on the official request page. That means the safe description is “no fee stated,” not an assumed free or paid price. Questions can go to elections@sos.wa.gov or 360-902-4194. Since March 25, 2026, the Secretary of State is the only election agency authorized to respond to full voter-database requests. Do not send that request to Snohomish County.

That state-level route is now the correct path for a voter-roll extract that includes Mukilteo registrations.
Mukilteo Voter Help in Everett
Snohomish County Elections remains the local fallback for a Mukilteo resident whose VoteWA details do not match, who needs to correct registration information, or who has an election-service question. County service no longer includes release of voter data. A county form updated April 21, 2026 directs those requests to the Secretary of State because of the new law. The county can still supply free downloadable district and precinct maps; printed 3-by-5-foot maps cost $20 each. This split keeps local voter service in Everett while centralizing public data release at the state.

It is the practical contact when the private lookup fails, even though the statewide extract must be requested elsewhere.

How Mukilteo Voter Rolls Change
Washington has used a centralized voter database since January 2006. State and county election officials compare records with information from the Department of Licensing, Department of Health, Department of Corrections, Social Security Administration, and other official sources. Potential duplicate records receive human review. The database does not cancel a person on its own.
Returned undeliverable election mail can move a record to inactive status. A voter can reactivate it by updating an address, requesting a ballot, or filing a registration. If the record remains inactive through two consecutive federal general elections, it may be canceled. Simply choosing not to vote while staying at the same address is not a cancellation reason.
Other lawful grounds include a voter's request, an outdated duplicate, death, or a disqualifying incapacity or incarceration status. Monthly incarceration matching leads to a notice and a 30-day period to dispute cancellation. Death-list matches go to county review. Under RCW 29A.08.770, list-maintenance program records must be retained for at least two years and made available for inspection, subject to protections for minors.
Protected Mukilteo Voter Addresses
The Washington Address Confidentiality Program gives eligible participants a substitute mailing address and protects actual location information in designated records. Eligible applicants include certain survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, or stalking who fear for their safety, plus specified threatened public servants and qualifying family or household members.
Enrollment must follow the program's authorized process. ACP is not a broad deletion tool, and it does not erase every old public document. For election records, RCW 40.24.060 provides a specific protection. A missing or substituted Mukilteo address may therefore reflect lawful safety measures, not an absent or false voter record. Never try to reverse engineer the substitute address.

Lawful Use of Mukilteo Voter Data
Washington voter lists cannot be used to send advertising or offers for property, an organization, a product, or a service. They also cannot be used to solicit money, services, or anything of value. A knowing violation is a gross misdemeanor under RCW 29A.08.740. An injured person may seek actual damages, reasonable attorney fees, and costs.
Election participation is not a statement of party preference or ballot choice. Inactive status is not proof of fraud, death, or ineligibility. Treat each field within its legal meaning and confirm ambiguous records with elections staff. Public access never allows impersonation, identity theft, stalking, harassment, or an attempt to defeat ACP protections.
Historical Mukilteo Election Records
Older poll books and registration registers require collection-by-collection research. Search the Washington Digital Archives catalog, then check with the State Archives Northwest Regional Branch, which serves Snohomish County. Exact Mukilteo poll-book series and years were not verified, so no continuous date range should be assumed.
Custody also follows local history. Snohomish County was organized in 1861, while Mukilteo incorporated in 1947. An early election record connected to residents of the area may sit in county, territorial, state, or federal holdings rather than a modern city file. Catalog titles, jurisdiction, precinct, and date all matter more than a present-day Mukilteo label.
